Wonky Jane Creative is the evolution of Jane Trask’s creative journey — a celebration of clay, flowers, and the ocean.

Founded in 2020 as Wonky Jane Pottery, Jane’s “perfectly imperfect” ceramics quickly became known for their handmade charm and wonky mindful spirit.

 

After more than 30 years as a Dance and PE teacher, Jane turned to clay as a way to reconnect with creativity and balance — a transition later featured in UNO Magazine (Issue 64, Winter 2024).

 

Now based in Mount Maunganui, Jane has expanded her creative expression to include floristry and surf photography, bringing together her love of texture, movement, nature, and flow. From beautifully “wonky” ceramics to organic floral design and raw, ocean-inspired imagery, Wonky Jane Creative is grounded in authenticity, mindfulness, and the beauty of imperfection.

 

Each offering — whether shaped from clay, gathered from the garden, or captured through the lens — reflects Jane’s belief that creativity is both healing and wildly freeing.
