Through her surf photography, Jane captures the poetry of movement and joy in its wildest form — the ocean.

 

Blending her lifelong love of dance with a deep connection to the sea, her images celebrate flow, strength, and the raw beauty of human motion in water.  Shooting groms as they race towards her yellow helmet or seeing pure joy when someone catches their first ever wave, taking photos in the water or off the beach is a special way to capture the oceans true beauty.

Offering in-water shooting sessions or beach photographs, Jane works closely with surfers to capture authentic, dynamic moments from within the lineup. She is also expanding into surf and lifesaving sport event photography, bringing her instinct for timing and embodied awareness to fast-moving, high-energy environments.

 

Her creative energy and a dancer’s eye for movement allow her to anticipate the moment — the turn, the drop, the lift — transforming split seconds into storytelling images.  

 

As a "beginner for life" surfer, Jane has found a lot of joy taking photos in the water.  "Sunrise is my favourite time of the day to shoot, a new day, raw beauty and the excitement of wave riding with my boys or friends!"
