Wonky Jane Pottery embraces the perfectly imperfect, handmade ceramics infused with movement, mindfulness, and heart. What began in 2020 as a personal creative awakening has grown into a vibrant studio practice rooted in play, healing, and authenticity.

 

With a background in dance and physical education, Jane approaches clay as a moving meditation — rhythm in the wheel, flow in the form, and freedom in its "wonkiness”.   Her journey with ADHD and decades of embodied movement have enhanced, not hindered, her creative process, allowing spontaneity, texture, and joyful imperfection to lead the way. 

 

Based in Mount Maunganui, Jane offers hands-on pottery workshops, custom orders, and a welcoming retail space. Jane is passionate about accessibility and sustainability, and she also runs recycled clay workshops at discounted rates for schools and community groups — creating space for everyone to experience the grounding magic of clay.
